Summer Yoga Challenge
Attend 20 classes in July and August
The April Challenge was such a success that many of you wanted to keep going. So, the challenge board and stickers will be back for July and August. The challenge this time is to attend 20 classes between July 1 and August 31. Just like the April Challenge, the heart of the Summer Challenge is commitment to your yoga practice. If you are participating in the challenge we encourage you to take some time to schedule your yoga classes the same way you schedule other commitments in your life. Try to schedule 1 to 3 classes a week so that you are not cramming in several classes a day at the end of August. Also, the Yoga and Wine Tasting class at Oswego Hills will count as a class so you’ll get a sticker and wine!
Together we can help motivate each other to complete the challenge and to create a more consistent yoga practice. Just think of how good you will feel!
*Everyone who completes the Challenge will be entered into a draw to win great prizes, including a free month of yoga.
We want to celebrate all dads this Father’s Day. As our gift to you, all yoga classes are FREE for dads on Sunday, June 19. Just be sure to mention to your teacher that you are a dad and class will be FREE for you.

Taste, Tunes, Tranquility
Come to Vino Vinyasa with Kristina for a truly multi-sensory experience! We will begin with a vinyasa flow yoga class, mindfully moving the body in sync with the breath. We will play with balance, strength, and flexibility to begin the process of awakening all five senses. Kristina will bring her Essential Oils to pique your sense of smell. Josh (Kristina’s oh-so-talented husband) will provide live music to guide you into the rhythm of sound. After the one-hour class, with awakened senses, it’s time to tantalize the taste buds with wine and chocolate tasting. Mingle with fellow yogis from our community and appreciate the work of local artists. Must be 21 years old or older to taste the wine.
$20/person includes the one-hour yoga class, live music, the wine and food! Enjoy!

Summer Solstice Meditation

Use the bright light during the longest day of the year, and connect to your inner light – the essence of your Being -, in this Meditation. Expect a short breath centered asana practice (postures) and a short Pranayama practice (breathing exercises), followed by a guided Meditation using visualization and mantra (voice), and a silent Meditation. Chairs and props are available for a comfortable sitting.
Balancing Kapha Dosha

According to Ayurveda – one of the oldest healing systems in the world – late Winter and early Spring bring an abundance of Kapha dosha. With it comes sluggishness, colds, allergies, mental dullness, attachment, and sometimes depression and weight gain.
This workshop will give an overview of what Ayurveda is and how we can use its wisdom to invigorate, detox and lighten up during the Spring. We will talk about the nutrition, herbs, daily routine and practices that are best for this time of year.
Expect an hour of discussion about Ayurveda, a 45 minute kapha pacifying yoga flow and 15 minutes to ask questions and try out some Ayurvedic food and drink! If you want to find more energy and feel lighter during the rainy Spring, then this workshop is for you!
