If you want to increase your vitality while reducing stress, treat yourself to this special 2-hour yoga workshop on Mother’s Day. Mindful asana (movement and postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), guided meditation and guided relaxation will help you to:

  • Increase the power of your vitality

  • Restore your system

The perfect way to spend the afternoon. All levels welcome! Cost: $30.00

Participants will earn 2 continuing education credits through Yoga Alliance.

New Year’s Day Workshop with Susana Laborde-Blaj

9:30-11:30am 

A mindful and consistent Yoga practice can bring more health to your body and more clarity to your mind. This translates to more kindness, patience, and happiness for you and people close to you, as well as more peace into the world.

Work on breath, strength, agility & flexibility as you move from distraction to attention in this mindful practice. Postures and physical exertion (asana) will prepare the breath for specific breathing exercises (pranayama), and all this will prepare the mind for Meditation.

Expect 75 minutes of a Mindful Flow linking breath and movement, a short presentation followed by 20 minutes of breathing exercises, a guided relaxation and a Meditation.

$30.00 per person(Limited Members save 10%, Unlimited Members save 15%)

Susana Laborde-Blaj is one of the incredible teachers at Imagine Yoga Studio. Here is a bit more about her:

“I love the way yoga brings people together. With different names, stories, ages, we all come to a place where it is ok to be exactly who we are, where the beauty will be found not in looking like someone else, but in discovering the sometimes hidden, always precious messages of life itself.

I have been passionate about this for a while and love it so much that I cannot help myself from sharing everything I learn with the students that chance or destiny have brought to my classes and workshops.

To watch the way they practice fills me with admiration and humbles me, I learn from them –and my other teachers, of course courage, presence, humor, camaraderie, compassion, humility, perseverance, endurance, simplicity, acceptance, beauty, enthusiasm.

My work is to learn to see them beyond my own insecurities and limitations, and I am lucky enough to work on that every single day.” Susana Laborde-Blaj

Spring Workshop: transitions and Transformations

Spring is here! This two-hour workshop will focus on awareness during transitions and the fire of transformation. Expect a breath-centric practice including mindful and accessible sun salutations with special attention to the breath and safe transitions to keep you stable and centered in the midst of change, plus twists and backbends to melt the winter ice and awaken the fire of transformation. Expect asana (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation. All levels welcome!

Introduction to Pranayama

with Susana Laborde-Blaj

3:30pm to 6pm

Help regulate your nervous system and enhance your wellbeing with ancient, simple and safe breathing techniques.

If we pay attention, we can notice how the quality and awareness of our breath influences the way we feel.
In this workshop we will explore the parts of breath, and the possible effects that lengthening and deepening the breath in a specific way can have.
You will benefit from this workshop if you want to:

  • Discover the relationship of your breath and the movement of your spine
  • Increase your breath capacity
  • Energize, calm and regulate your nervous system
  • Reduce stress and enhance your wellbeing

Come prepared for one hour of lecture and an hour and a half of practice with time for questions. Please bring a notebook and wear comfortable clothes. All levels welcome!
